• Is the Free plan really free?

  Yes, while your prior-month AWS bill stays under $2,000/month of AWS spend — no credit card, no trial clock. Free covers one connected AWS account with the core visibility features: the cost dashboard, potential-savings total, AI narrative report, forecasting, anomaly alerts, and Security Score. Past that band the plan that fits is Growth. The bill-upload analyzer is free for everyone, with no signup at all.

• How do you measure my AWS spend?

  Plans are banded by your AWS bill for the prior calendar month (BilledCost, after credits) — the same total your Refine dashboard shows. There is no hidden metering — you can verify the exact number in your own dashboard before we ever reference it.

• What happens if my spend crosses the top of my band one month?

  A single unusual month will not lock you out — cost spikes are often exactly the moment you need Refine most, and we won't wall off your data then. You'll see an in-product heads-up, and only sustained spend above your band moves you to the next plan.

• What is the difference between Growth and Scale?

  Features: none — they are the identical product. The only difference is the AWS spend band they cover: Growth is for $2k–$10k/month AWS spend, Scale for $10k–$50k/month AWS spend. We price by company size instead of pretending a bigger bill needs different buttons.

• How do I get on Growth or Scale?

  Talk to us. Both plans are available today and set up by our team — we confirm the right band from your prior-month AWS bill, arrange billing, and switch the plan on for your workspace, usually within a business day. Self-serve card checkout is still in build; until it ships, a short conversation is the only step. If you already use Refine, you can request a plan from inside the product wherever a locked feature appears.

• Can I pay without talking to anyone?

  Not yet — self-serve checkout is the one part of billing still in build. Everything else about the paid plans is live: the plans exist, they are assigned to real customers, and the features they unlock are switched on the moment your plan is set.

• Do you own or resell my AWS data?

  No. Your AWS cost and security data is yours on every plan, free included. We do not sell, share, or commercially exploit it. We aggregate only anonymized usage patterns to improve recommendation quality.

• How long is my data retained?

  Cost and usage data is kept for the life of your account, on every plan — your history is what makes year-over-year comparison possible, so we do not expire it. Alerts and notifications are deleted after 90 days. Uploaded bill files are deleted automatically 3 days after upload. You can delete your data any time — remove a connection from Settings → AWS Accounts, or delete the whole customer from Settings → General Settings — or request deletion in writing.

• Do you offer a DPA?

  Yes. A Data Processing Agreement is available on /dpa for every plan. Custom DPAs can be negotiated on Enterprise.
